Only in New York

Lately, Toronto has been good to me. What would I miss if I ever left?

John Steinberg is the best place in the world to get your hair cut. I always want to invite everyone over for dinner after my cut & colour. If your lucky, Ben will make you giggle.

Photobucket
Penny Arcade -- the best vintage in town. It's like shopping in a friends closet.
Bonus: They have candy and granola to eat while shopping.

AGO - Frank Gehry is a genius. No building has ever soothed my mind as much as this. The 19th century French impressionism is my favorite.

Photobucket
The Black Camel -- 2 words. Pulled Pork.

Photobucket
Black Dog - Although I was often in the dog house for late fees. Black Dog treats me well.

*Just realized I love 2 places that have both the colour black and an animal in the title. Interpretations?

Photobucket
Jonathan & Olivia - Give me a pay cheque and here is where I will be.

Photobucket
Four Seasons Opera Centre - Go with someone you love.

I'm never leaving.

Bonjour.

Va Va Voom.

After the last few days have been spent shivering away, slipping on ice and dreaming of the summer in Montreal, i am slowly realizing that my tactics for surviving the cold may be off base. Black velvet pants and spiked heels could possibly be the ultimate way to destroy these brutish days. Only time will tell.

I remember...

  • First days in montreal.
  • Eating burgers and drinking champagne.
  • Journeying to St Laurent for many the free shot.
  • No jacket, no tights, no snow.
  • And a time where i got to see both bourgeois' everyday.

Rump Shaker

The Hood Internet - Good Ol' Fashion Rump Shaker (Beastie Boys x Matt & Kim) by hoodinternet

When i was walking to school the other morning cold and tired, this song came on and i
couldn't help but smile and giggle. So i figure if this song can accomplish putting an obnoxious smile on my face in the dead of montreal winter it deserves credit.
And i've always had a soft spot for the beastie boys.

pretty pretty please.

I just read the Coachella line up and it pains me a little it looks so golden. Since exam period is april 15-30, unless all my exams happen to fall on the 15th i think there is no hope i will make it back to the west coast by then.
If you haven't seen the line up yet , check it out HERE.

SugarSnaps.

Since my camera self destructed on me two days into my trip this summer, i really missed having photos of pretty days and shwasty nights. But Santa was so kind to give me a new camera for christmas, hence the many shots of the holidays in Vancouver and new year adventures in Montreal.

I hope everyone had a marvelous winter break filled with shortbread, laughs and peppermint schnapps.

I have a feeling this year is going to be a good one.

Hot child in the cold, mean city

So far it's been a very exciting week. New semester, new internship, new shoes and a new exercise regime! Here are a couple shots from the weekend. Note the size of the 'breakfast burrito' and how cute Kirsty Reid is.

Stay warm!

A little history - a lot of laughs.

Happy new year! I have just returned back to Toronto after a perfect holiday. I first touched down in the thriving olympic metropolis of Vancouver where I spent time with my loving family and friends. Then it was on to the Arctic - also known as Winnipeg. The weather was cold but the memories made were more than enough to keep me warm.

Here is a trip to the costume museum in Winnipeg. Nestled in a old warehouse, we got to take a peek at some of Winnipeg's oldest fashions as well as a very interesting reference library where we viewed Vogue magazines (among others) dating back to 1948!

Take a look...

Happy BIRTHDAY.

To my dear friend Nick,

To many more wasty nights in weight rooms and many less nights involving caffeine consumption at lady red.

Fats waller says it best.

Happy days.

little bit in love with you

All these essays being hashed out at the library have made me a loss for words, but ALAS feast your eyes upon these gems:

I hope some of you are drinking Strongbow and eating cupcakes rather than writing an essay on experimental medicine...ew.
