Emerged into the Factory.
Last friday, i was lucky enough to check out the exhibit at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Warhol Live. The exhibit was such an intriguing look at how music and dance affected and played into Warhols work. Not only did it showcase his amazing talent as an artist, but the exhibit was displayed in such away that created more of an experience rather than just observing paintings on the wall. Rooms filled with Mick Jaggars voice, and others filled with strobe lights and floating silver balloons, allowed one to absorb warhols talent in a waholesqu environment. In one of my favorite rooms, warhol's images and films projected off the walls, and in the center was a large circular couch with numerous round pillows designed for a fulfilling viewing experience. Being in the room, my friend and i looked upon montreal teenage seensters lying on their backs gazing at the lights and and pictures, while humming to the velvet underground, and we kind of felt like we had taken a wrong turn and had been catapulted in to warhol's very own hang out, the factory.
